Best Intel Processor for ARK?

I'm planning on getting a gaming PC sometime in the future and I want to know what the best version of Intel i7 I should get if I want to run games like ARK, Fallout 4, Alien: Isolation, ect.

It would be nice if someone could help me.

https://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html so depends on how much you want so spend. as you can see there are some i7 that cost a few thousand dollars and there are some that cost about 300$ . the i7-4790K is one of them or the i7-5820K which seems to be pretty good

In that case go with the i7 3770k Decent price and a rather powerful processor for it's cost especially when paired with 1600MHz clocked DDR3 RAM

i would not recommend that. the 3770K is old and slower than the newer intels. the 6700K seems to be quite interesting for that price range. Just look at that comparison

if i look at the prices of both cpus at amazon i would pay 14€ more for the 6700K. i think that's worth the money. (381,93€ at the moment at amazon, roughly 420 dollar)

i have an i7-4710HQ and have no issues with Ark

Games don't benefit much from i7 hyper-threading because they lean heavily on one or two threads.

A beefy i5 will get you farther for cheaper than a mid-range i7.

Unless your doing hardcore video editing and cGI design then you dont need an i7's hyperthreading, wich is the only real difference between the i7 and i5 processors. an i5 4690k will do the same for va gamer as an i7

you are right but OP wants to play a lot more games and some of these are AAA titles that support lots of cores and could probably benefit from it. And think about what will happen in 1-3 years. More cores are always a good option and such a high price cpu like an i7 is always a good choice if you want to keep your pc good for a few years.

Then don't get intel, you are paying for the name, if you want cheap and still decent go with AMD.

By somewhat cheep, I mean a good processer that has at least 4 GHz.

Well I do edit videos for a Youtube channel and my laptop that I own at the moment can't even produce videos at 720p, so I'll go with the i7 anyway.
