Best Intel Processor for ARK?

I'm planning on getting a gaming PC sometime in the future and I want to know what the best version of Intel i7 I should get if I want to run games like ARK, Fallout 4, Alien: Isolation, ect.

It would be nice if someone could help me.

why would you get anything else?

Because he said somewhat cheap. Yea the actual CPU is reasonably priced, but the ddr4 RAM and new motherboards are not.

But hey, I'm not knocking it if he wants to send the money go for it. Come tax season I will be doing a skylake build.

i7 5960X is currently the best Intel Core CPU available.

BTW, I need to keep things somewhat cheep, yet powerful.

Well I do edit videos for a Youtube channel and my laptop that I own at the moment can't even produce videos at 720p, so I'll go with the i7 anyway.

if you edit/convert videos, going with the best i7 you can afford would be the way to go.

Went from an older model i7 to this i5 and I have absolutely no regrets. Plus, this chip is very OC friendly so in the future if you feel like you're lagging in the performance department you can give yourself a hefty boost.

Well, I don't do hardcore editing, but I do simple editing and I use Powerdirector 10 to edit, but it won't let me produce a video at more than 480p, so I need an i5 or i7 that is good for editing at 1080p and is also good for gaming and being somewhat cheep at the same time.

Nothing.....The game isn't optimized yet. But owning an I5-4690k myself, I can vouch for it.

Not even kidding, i built a refirbished gaming pc for a friend that runs ark probably better than my current desktop (due to gpu, as mine is a hd 6950 and she has a r9 380), that uses a core 2 quad q6600. if you wanna go cheap, go there. Otherwise go amd with their apus, or look for a quad core intel clocked around... i wanna say atleast 2.6ghz, with atleast 8mb l2 cache. My other friend uses a laptop with a i5 5200u, and it runs ark fine aswell with it's gtx 940m, after i tweaked it some.

TLDR: get a moderate dual or quad core, and push more budget towards your video card.
