Xbox one and PC, what's the difference?

So besides the Xbox controller and Keyboard stuff. What else is different between the Xbox one and PC version?

Thanks for the warning Nubsly, things have gone ugly before in threads like these.

But anyway.

As far as I know, there is no major differences between PC and console. Console for now does run better, so if your PC isn't up to ARK it would be better to go for Xbox One. Updates will come slower on consoles though, so do keep that in mind if you get excited about something coming to PC you'll have to wait a few weeks.

I'm a bit curious about this as well. I'm considering picking up the console version for the kids as they don't have a gaming PC as of yet.

Graphics are the only big difference AFAIK.

XB1 has no ground clutter it seems, simpler shadows, shorter draw distance.

Is there any chance the PC players will get a cooler exclusive than just the ARK Parasaur saddle?
I mean it is pretty and all. But that Rex skin that the Xbox One players get just blows it out of the water.

We're thinking about this, but in the mean time remember that PC players have a LOT of "Exclusives" right now over other platforms, including SotF, War Paint, events like Fear Evolved and upcoming Winter Wonderland (consoles will get events later but miss out on them for launch), mod support and much more flexibility with private server hosting. It's not our intention to fracture the game with different content, so you won't see us leaning too heavily on it going forward. Finally, don't worry! The Xbox skin isn't just a skin - it's a teaser at future game content coming to all platforms. ;)

No. If you want to play it on xbone you will have to buy it. Just think of it this way, buying ark on two platforms is the same price as buying a normal 80$ AAA game. Or, yknow, you could just play it on one platform.
