Catwalk

Im trying to build what is effectively a bridge from catwalks. i cannot place anymore because it says it needs nearby foundation support. dont collumns work? Where should i put the Foundation?

pillars work but they must go ll the way down on/into the ground to give support

Scratch that. What's a snap point?

thaats a point in which a structure will 'snap' to (stick in place) to another structure when placing it.

any it4em requiring foundation for support can be placed upto 2 spaces out form the current structure tht has support.

Exmple:

_ = Catwalk
| = Pillar
-- = Ignore these
_ _ _
|

To mke it easier than placing new pillaar tower form the groun up. Build it form the top down from the last placed structure with foundation to make a bridge and repeat the process like this:

_ _ _
|-----|

_ _ _ _ _
| --- |

Columns do not work with catwalls, from what I remember.

Any supporting foundations, whether a regular foundation(not fence) or a a column and ceiling, must be attachaced(snapped to each other, and, ultimately, to the wall from which you are running your catwalks.


This is a example with ramps, but I could have also done catwalks...for very long plank.

My apologies. Unfortunately "Jerryn" is correct. Pillars won't snap to catwalks. I jsut tested it (I've never used catwalks but figured it would be the same as aall other structers using the same thing for foundation... Which it should be -.-). I'd say replaace ur ctwaalks with cieling instead :P

sorry i was just trying to help with a problem that I'm running into this year meaning its still a problem for some users other than my self it may not be these people anymore but i was trying to add a solution for anyone still having the issue with this and i see this clearly upset you so i removed the post enjoy the rest of your day/night
