(mostly for PVE) Dino tracker/Your tamed dinos on map?

Because tbh I'm tired of loosing my dinos to lag, accidentally pressing E in the air, having them get stuck in random rocks then spending hours searching to find them (to no avail).

It would be SUPER NICE to have your tamed dinos show up on the map, so you can find them. It could be optional as well, or have it just show YOUR dinosaurs that YOU tamed yourself. Just yours.

If you are on a dedicated or a private server or SIngle Player there are several mods which address this issue some are WIP (Works in Progress), but i know that Joan's Pet Finder is really good and many people like that one. If you are on an official server or Public server mods wont work so ya then this is a very good recommendation as it would also help track down some disappearing dinos (sometimes). You are preaching to the choir on this on Creepy this is one thing many of us would love to have in game and since they dont have it we created our own server and added the mod and it is sooo muich easier to find our dinos now. YOu can also build transponders on official servers to track them but i dont think that transponders area available on Primitive servers at least they werent when i was on Primitive Server 476.

UGG REALLY? Thanks for reminding me war4peace i was like beating my head against the keyboard going DUH DUH DUH and i should have remembered this because we have them on my private server.

No worries man, I had to look it up on the Wiki because so far I only lost a Quetz which I had to track, and that was due to the "quetz flying away by itself" bug.
But I still have tracker nodes on most high level dinos, just in case :)

um what? please read very carefuly what you asked then smack yourself. If you do not place the tracking node onto the dino why the heck would you be able to track that dino....

also you can assign a frequency to each node before you place them on the dino so you can track groups or idividual depending on how you set your frequencies ;) i think you use the "n" key to input the freq. been a while since i used it.

Thank you all for the info! I'm going to talk to the guy who owns our server to see if we can add Joan's Pet Finder mod, because that's the only way we'll be able to find these dinos in particular that we lost (we aren't able to make transponders yet).

and no need to hug the idiots dude. Call it rude if you want but come on does the entire world have to give out a prize for just participating or can atleast some of us expect a little common sense every once in a while....
