What am I supposed to do with all of this hide?

Hide is the one resource that I never run out of. It doesn't spoil and other than saddles and a few end game items you almost never use it. I'm on a single player server so I can't even give it away. Right now, I have 3 storage bins full and I'm always having to go farming for other resources because I constantly run out. Is there a use for hide that I missed?

3 storage bins? That's only 90 slots...

You can make gas with it. Can also throw it away...

Compared to the half storage I have of wood and stone that's a lot. Plus hide stacks are 200 wood and stone are only 100.

usefull for Gas, & high end high tier (Journeyman and above) sadles. They require a HUGE amount of hide to make. Upgrade your storage and keep a cabinet full. The rest jsut throw away.

Yup, I keep a few bins full and toss the rest with the raw meat and prime. I could use cook prime for everything at this point and not have to worry.

I keep a vault full, definitely need it to make gas and also for the higher end saddles as mentioned

I have this problem with chittin more than hide, I honestly don't know what use chittin has anymore.

oh and you can use it for spike walls if you like that sort of thing.

I actually got an Ascendant Rex Saddle BP on a server. Do not remember if it was from a drop or? Anyways, long story short, the Smithy will not hold the matts to make it, not enough slots.

Now that they're coming up with improved versions of the other devices, maybe they'll come up with an industrial smithy that has the room to make them.

Gasoline and Saddles, especially higher quality ones, are the main uses for Hide. There are a lot of wasted resources in this game, because every video I see generally has people focusing on gathering a specific resource, and dumping everything else, especially berries when gathering wood and meat when gathering chitin.

or they could just increase the size of the regular smithy, I don't see a need for an industrial smithy. what would be the benefit to an industrial smithy ?
