Extend fertilizer duration?
I need to hire a gardener, fertilizer upkeep has become a dreaded chore.

Any ini adjustments to extend fertilizer duration?

They should let any dino poop that falls on a farm, go into the farm imo. This way you can automate farming and give phiomas a use

Fertilizer is easy to make, just get a phiomia, a trike, a bunch of thach and 20 compost bins.
Put 6 poop and 100 thach into every bin. (40 fertilizer in 2 hours)

"Poop Collector" mod might help, if you're playing solo or maybe on a server that is/would use it.

rather than Joan's mod I would suggest ark automated. It has a few nifty things for the player on the fly. it offers an egg collector for the non fertilised egg collection. A culdron which you hook up water to so you dont need canisters for dye and the poop helping collection. 3 items which collect poop into a compost bin, feed thatch into a compost bin and take the fert out of the compost bin and store it in a silo for ease of use. Its really nice for plant turrets so I can have my base defended and adventure without having to turn into a farmer most of the time. I have played on many servers with this mod and rarely encountered any problems.

Also in a vannilla sense I heard something about feeding the pigs stim berries. Apparently they poop alot when force fed them. Hope it helps.

I just have like 20 dodos lined up on a ramp. They poop and it rolls down. 10 bins hold 200 thatch and 6 poops each so I get a lot of fert with little effort.

Could upsize if I was in a tribe but as a solo player this is about as large an operation I want to be running.

I'm with WildMew on this. The Philomia is the MPV for a while now in my base. Just force feed stim berries and it poops 15 times / 100 berries. I've got 5 stim berries pots and that's all I need for my 20 compost bins.

Thank You All. Think I will go with a mod and additional bins.

I do gather from the phiomia though that is only medium compared to the rex's, mammoths etc.

The 20 dodos on a ramp made me laugh. Maybe has something to do with that saying.

Don't forget we'll get the Dung Beetle at some point, which will replace the Compost bins for high end players. If we are lucky, it will even go around and gather the poo on it's own.

as above, dont think we have an issue with fertiliser, pretty easy to get once you have everything in place. Does feel like another one of those chores that need doing every night though, but hey thats the game.

Actually I have my ENTIRE egg farm set up on ramps. makes it REALLY easy to just walk by and grab all the eggs that have rolled down the ramps rather than just having the dinos in clusters and grabbing the eggs that way.

But it makes for a boring base area as it is just a bunch of dinos with their butts sticking out standing around not moving. And god help you if you press follow all by accident in the vicinity....

just wait for the dung beetle to come out, it will help a ton

By your answer I'd gather you don't use compost bins, you should. Poop size doesn't make a difference when you use it, as they all become fertilizers with the same amount of nitrogen which is faaaar more than 3 big poops would.

Load your egg layers up to capacity with stone or wood so they don't ever move off their ramps
