Finding Mod IDs and GiveItem commands
i did a thing!
i was inspired by the amount of people begging for mod ids and giveitem commands. i know plenty of people DO know how to do this, but it seems like a lot don't too - hope this helps :)

ark server launcher is easier if you can use it

the guide isn't for launching servers. i use ARK:SL/R for that in fact.
but the guide's about getting Mod IDs and GiveItem commands, 'cos not everybody knows how to do that if the information isn't explicitly provided.

Get mod id...

GO to steam>settings>interface

Check box "display steam url when possible"

Go to workshop>mod of your choice..

Open eyes..

See mod ID number.

Pretty tough.

i know this. you know this. the people who actually get salty with mod authors because they don't know this... that's why i wrote that first part. probably optimistic to think it'll change anything, but oh well ;)
