Idea's for competitive activities.

I think it would be pretty amazing if they added tiny competitive mini games to the game you could play with fellow tribe members. I don't mean like pvp fighting games, more like skill games like real life. Something like horseshoes or even organized dino races. Maybe even something like an archery target that judges your accuracy and precision. Any type of little game you could play with fellow tribe members or ally tribes just for some competitive fun. Then people could talk about the war that was started over a game of darts.

Even a simple deck of cards would be pretty interesting for those moments things are calm for time being.

they dont need to add such things because in a sandbox your limitations are set by your own mind.

you can do

dodo cage fights
races of different types
paintball like arena fights
capture the [insert item here]
artifact/broodmother summon race
diving race
combined fly/ride/run/swim races
building tournaments (build x faster than the other tribes or build a better y than the other tribe or build a better x for y with z amount of materials in the time b better than the other tribes)

unfortunately most people are a.) ignoring the sandbox part of ark or b.) are not nearly as creative as you must be to invent really fun events
the other problem is the number of participants you would need to actively and seriously take part in the event... its very difficult to get enough people for an event to make it even runnable or fun for everyone...

^ You may be on to something. It would be nice to see people use more creative ideas with what the game already gives.

Maybe what I'm thinking would be better for a mod.

Nonetheless I'd still love to see a deck of cards or even dice to play games with.

Regularly hold races and poopsketball games on my server. It's a building game, you can literally do w/e you want
