+1 I keypad would be placeable on the elevator... maybe? (Never made any of these but i think you can do that, no?)
They don't stop as soon as you press E there is a delay....I'd rather just go up a ladder it's more fluid and easy to use than the elevator atm
Delay in stopping, plus you have to guess time it a bit. Not the end of the world, but getting a perfect stop is not alway easy.
As for the height thing, if you are not careful, the first section can sink about half way into the floor, throwing everything off. Easy to do if your floor is on a column or inbetween columns, and the ceiling is more than 1 tile above the first placement.
I only use elevators for moving big stuff around between floors, and will use mulitple elevators if I want different stopping points. For example, I have one that goes from the bottom floor up to the aviary, 6 tiles up. From the aviary, and I have another elevator that goes up to the egg farm, 7 tiles up. For both, I actually leave the elevators at the top, as they close off the hole in the floor at the top, and paint the floor red at the bottom; reminder not to put anything in those areas.
