Dimo's are slow to attack when used shoulder mount unless you are flying in which case they instant retaliate anything your bird is holding. When used on foot Dimo's are super effective once their attack starts, especially against big dino's like Bronto's and Paracers.
Compy's with added speed are a fast attack creature on the ground and travelling with more than 1 has a greater advantage than travelling with an equal number of Dimo's.
If on foot i will carry the Compy depending on the terrain and area I am travelling.
If mounted on a Ptera or Argent - I always carry the Dimo for back up and the option of Air to ground / Air to Air attacks with a Spyglass.
When on a flyer and you press x to brake, the Compy jumps off (lost one this way). Does this happen with the Dimo? And if so, does the Dimo go back to your shoulder after it's done attacking?
