Ghillie suit problems
ok im just gonna re word this lol.

The ghillie suit shouldnt require mats from the snow biome. it makes no sense at all. the fur set requires pelts from the snow biome which is its armor set. the ghillie suit is the armor set for the swamp as its heat resistant. it should require mats from the swamp. not the snow biome.

I was completely confused by this thread. My tribe runs my server on 302 and we are actually based in the East right by the green obelisk.

We don't have anything resource heavy near us but we still manage. I don't think the OP understands the fruit of hard labor and trust in a tribe.

yeah i just.. i don't understand what "item for the snow biome" they're talking about? like.. what? every resource (save Pelt and if you want, organic polymer), is obtainable anywhere and everywhere else on the island, give or take (other mountains for metal, obsidian, etc).. so i don't know what this post means lol.

OP- as per your comment "And fml organic polymer.....here was something that couldve made the game great and reduce the grind, yet it got nerfed into oblivion....why? because it got added to the snow biome exclusively, and everyone thought ♥♥♥♥ that."

..organic polymer wasn't nerfed because it was in the snow biome. it was nerfed because people were getting multiple stacks of 100 organic polymer just from killing a few penguins. hundreds thought it was unfair that that resource was so easily obtainable to the higher end tribes. people whined, and they made it only stack to what.. 10? and have a 30 min timer (on the player) and 1 hr in a dinos inventory. it also cannot be refridgerated.

If I may, I believe what the overpost is complaining about isn't a resource per sey, but the new Ghilie armor suit. It requires organic polymer, and cannot be made with regular polymer.

Organic Polymer only drops from the Kairuku, a.k.a. the penguin. Which is only found in the snow biome at present, or the fringes of it.

And hes comparing it to fur armor which requires pelt, which is only found in the snow biome, or again the fringes of it.

But the Ghilie suit is supposed to be camoflage and heat resistent armor, something that would be more helpful in the swamp or southern regions, while you'd wear the fur for the snow biome.

Thats my take. Not sure I entirely agree with him, but on one hand a lot of resources do seem to be easier to get in the snow biome then elsewhere. Though with a little work I managed to find a significant source of oil in the south eastern ocean by using sharks to chase off all the wild predators in the area.

i mean that pre snow biome the only place to get oil and pearls were in the ocean, crystal was in the mts. then with the biome update the snow biome was spammed with resource while the swamp biome got bugs for cp and the snow biome ended up with far more resource that was supposed to be incentive to expand into the ocean. it makes no sense that the snow biome has more oil and pearls than the ocean does. however my post isnt really about this per say, its more about the trend im seeing. fur armour helps with the cold in the snow biome and requires pelts, which are only in the snow biome. ghillie suit is obviously the swamp biomes equvilent of fur armor yet requires mats from the snow biome too. not the swamp biome. im just saying that the trend seems to be that high lv items are all exclusively in the north and furthermore somewhat exclusive to the snow biome. this means that by controlling that area you have a huge advantage.

makes sense. i just saw complaining about all kinds of things i just never found what exactly the point was. now i haven't been online on my server yet today so please fill me in- does the new suit require ACTUAL organic polymer or can it use regular?

more like it was nerfed because most of the time the omega tribe had control of the snow biome which is the only place to get penguins, as a result the large omega tribes had exclusive access to an easy supply of polymer on top of everything else thats abundent in the snow biome. i bet if you could find penguins everywhere nowhere near as many people wouldve asked for a nerf.

As I said in my post you quoted, it requires organic polymer and cannot be made with regular polymer. At all.

hence asking if it took organic or not because like i said, i haven't been on today and hadn't seen the actual materials needed. i just skimmed over the OPs' post and didn't see the word exclusively organic, so i was just clearing that up.

as it stands i do understand the OPs' point, although it was/is all over the place in wording. should just say "why does the suit only use organic to be made" and then follow up with all the reasons they hate the snow biome? lol.

idk, maybe a lot of people don't really go up there often and the Devs were/are trying to make more people use the zone. who knows.

hopefully they'll add a resource that's only obtainable in the swamps or deep ocean that is required to make a specific item. technically we should be utilizing the entire map.. i mean that's what being able to fly is useful for, right?
