Can't Figure Out Dye-Making
I have been trying unsuccessfully to create dyes. I have the cooking pot, have tons of wood in it, have the recipes and ingredients. No matter how long I wait, it doesn't create dye. For example, I am using a full water bottle, 15 Tintoberries, 2 Charcoal... lit fire. The berries spoil before any dye is created. I check back in five minutes and there are 14 berries and no dye. I add more berries. Wait. Berry count drops, no dye. What am I doing wrong?

I have done that as well. I have put in double and triple the amount of berries and varying amounts of charcoal as well (plus as the wood burns down it creates more charcoal).

Do you use wood or spark powder to light the fire?

Another problem that I have found when making dye, is that the water will be used up really quick. I just put in a full stack of berries and charcoal along with 3 to 4 water containers. Then you have to be refilling the water a lot. Hope that helps.

I just wanted to post an update to tell everyone that helped that I figured out what I was doing wrong. I guess that I wasn't getting my water flasks full. I had them on my hotbar and was "using" them while in the water but they weren't filling. Now I know that I have to be neary submerged to obtain water. Thanks everyone!
