Dye cooking broken now?

I used to make dyes and now that I got flak armor I wanted to play with some new colors for my armor sets

I use http://ark.gamepedia.com/Dye as a guide to how to make each color

Today in my cooking pot I tried Silver, Sky Forest, none of them worked,,, tired both with wood or spark for fuel. did it as exact amounts needed for one batch

tried exact with +1 of each thing needed

and then tossed in whole stacks, that just made me blue and white.....

so I seem to only be able to make the base colors that only require one type of berry, if it uses mixed berries I get nothing cooked at all

Anyone else have this issue?

Did you put in the gunpowder? I know that's where I go wrong.

Those colors require GUNPOWDER not charcoal.

yeah don't use wood either or the resultant charcoal will be used to make blue and white instead. use sparkpowder

Er... silver is 6 narcos, 12 stims and 1 gunpowder. If theres any charcoal in there it'll make the base colors. Burn thatch, not wood, and it'll make the colors.

Thatch is the only burnable fuel that isn't used in one color or another. Charcoal makes all the base one berry colors, sparkpowder makes some and gunpowder makes others.

Oh wow yeah i was a moron and dumping in Charcoal, yeah, i feel dumb....

If you make colors with more than one sort of berrys only add 1 watersource till its ready, otherwise you can get other colors than expected.
For example if you want to make orange you need Amarberry, Tintoberry and Charcoal, if you add 100 of each and 3 waterskins you will get Orange (Amarberry, Tintoberry, Charcoal), Red (Tintoberry, Charcoal) and Yellow (Amarberry, Charcoal).
Dont know if they have fixed it, havn't made dyes for a long time now.
