Dodos Question
I'm just wondering how powerful a Dodo can be or more to the point what is it capable of killing in Ark?

I have these two level 177-180ish Dodos and they are currently both sitting at over 1000hp and also over 1000% melee damage so i am wondering just what dinos they can kill if they were to leave my base / defend outside?

The only problem i have is that i don't want to lose them by just putting one of them against a Bronto or something to see if they could take it out or not.

Also i'm not a Dodo fanatic or anything its just they have done nothing but sit at my campfire since day one and i think they should see more action :P

why don't you first sick them on a wandering dodo, followed by a dilo, and see if they survive. If they destroy the dilo in 1-2 hits and took very little damage, try for a raptor. They are so slow though that they can't hunt down and kill most plant eaters.. but it would be interesting if they could take down raptors and possibly carnos but i highly doubt that. Raptor maybe

I have modified settings (increases for wild and tamed, though wild far above tamed) and I can get Dodos that have 14k HP, 32 K Carry, 8k Melee and 1k Speed and they 1v1 Rexs.

That specific dodo was level 177

Use breeding, go for the perfect dodo. You *could* potential get a dodo to like 13k health with a lot of damage. That is what breeding is for, perfecting dinosaurs >:D

By breeding you will have to go out and find dodos with higher and higher stats to acheive that ;)

You could check the damage the dodo would do here: http://www.survive-ark.com/ark-damage-calculator/ . With around 1000% damage it would do 50 damage to a wild dino, which is just under the base damage of a trex ;p
However in case of a bronto it will probably fling away your little dodo, so it might not have a chance to get close enough and attack the bronto then ;s

lol i think reasonably the highest hp you're going to get would be around 70 levels put into health at the start. So 40 + 8*70 = 600, then i guess you could potentially put 50 levels into hp after that (not sure what the purpose would be) to be 27% * 600 = 162 * 50 = 8,100 (8,700 health)

sounds like weight would be cooler though, but the scaling is so bad :(. 50 + 1*70 = 120, 120 * 4% = 4.8 * 50 = 240 (360 weight)

Ah this calculator does help - so i looked at the stats for a level 1 rex, it would have 1000 hp and does 60 damage per hit so my dodo doing 50 damage per hit would have to hit the rex 20 times while being able to take (probably) over 20 hits from the rex which would require minimum 1200 health.

So if i aimed for 2k health and maybe a little more into damage - technically she should be able to solo a level 1 rex :P
