Help with private server settings
I have been trying to change my private server with the new settings for the baby mature speed and egg hatching

[/script/shootergame.shootergamemode]
MatingIntervalMultiplier=1.0
EggHatchSpeedMultiplier=1.0
BabyMatureSpeedMultiplier=1.0

I have a server with GameServers and I have noticed most people are saying to put this new line in the Game.ini file but GameServers doesn't have that file. I only have the GameUserSettings file.

So I was wondering if anyone knows how I can add this to my server to take effect. I've tried putting the new line under the GameUserSettings and it doesn't do anything.

GameUserSettings.ini
[Serversettings]
EggHatchSpeedMultiplier=1.0

1.0 = normal speed, add a higher value, its in percentage if im right informed, so try a value like 80.0 , that should speed it up to 80% faster than default.

Hope im not wrong, dont pin me down to that lol

That's what I've been putting it under. I've put the new line under GameUserSettings.ini and I've put the value to 200 and it hasn't done anything.

Do I need to just put it under serversettings without [/script/shootergame.shootergamemode]?

New Server Game.ini configurable values:

[/script/shootergame.shootergamemode]
MatingIntervalMultiplier=0.5 (lower=faster)
EggHatchSpeedMultiplier=10 (higher=faster)
BabyMatureSpeedMultiplier=50 (higher=faster)

x = hours, xx = minutes, xxx = seconds

It's been awhile but I don't think Game.ini exists as a default file. You have to create it the first time you wish to use advanced server settings.

Do you know how I could create a Game.ini?

Are you using that for singleplayer or do you have a private server?

Private dedicated server with pw for my family, works fine so far.
Im new to ARK, but was owner for several gameservers over the years, different games, shooter, survival, list goes on.
So fingers crossed i get deep enought into the ARK server stuff in short time.
Atleast i hope lol

Open notepad add cmd lines click file save as game.ini make sure notepad dose not put .txt at the end of your file name. If it does just rename the file and remove the .txt. Upload the file to proper folder with your host.

I have not put the setting on my private server yet but I'm toying with the idea. I'll verify if the file is Game.ini or GameUserSettings.ini because there seems to be mixed information here.

The patch notes say: Game.ini

"New Server Game.ini configurable values:
[/script/shootergame.shootergamemode]

BabyMatureSpeedMultiplier=1.0"

Download coreftp or filezilla, connect to the ftp server of your game info is in your control panel..

Navigate to /ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsServer\

And drag the game.ini to your desktop

Open with notepad

Paste in those new settings, save and close.. drag that back into the ftp server to upload back to your server. Confirm overwrite and close ftp client, reboot server. Should work.
