Players Respawning in my house
So I just moved locatiosn got a big house built up but I have been finding unconsious bodies in there on a regular bbasis. The doors are locked and there is a ceiling covering hte whole thing. I know people are spawning in there cuase i was informed by a player that it happened to them. How can i stop this from happening with out having to move, as I spent quiet some time building and gathering. Please help.....

build higher, leave a ramp to a raised doorway so the new spawns can get out but not back in. Put all of your stuff above them.

Or just leave a predator on aggressive in there.

Or, unfortunately, move.

If you built on a beach you probably built on a spawn zone. This is just another reason why building on a beach is nice for looks but bad for gameplay.

Yap I have spawned in peoples buildings and had to leave server. To avoid this don't build your base along the shore because that is where people spawn.

that same senario happened to me except I was the guy locked in another person's base the only thing you can really do is learn where the spawn point is and build so you don't trap new people, have someone on constantly to let them out, or make it so there is a direct way they can get out say a ramp over a wall.

I thought building on a spawn area is not possible. I know when I originally spawned a few times I tried to place a foundation, the game would not let me till I moved down the beach some.

The thing is I didnt know it was a spawn point and had left the door out of it till I had gotten it completely built About 3 weeks of gathering and building( fairly big structure. I picked the location becuase I liked the view and it was on the beach (play PvE) so I wouldnt have to build a seperate sea pen, and it is a little safer so I dont have t oconstanly move my dino's out of piles. Guess I was hoping for some insight from a dev.

And to building a ramp to a door 1 story up. that would work if i knew exactly where people spawned so they couldnt get in and steal stuff out of chests then leave.

PVE servers need PVP structure damage for anything built on the beach.
Tired of dying and or re-spawning on a beach and being trapped for several hours at a time in someone's house and or dino pen.
Tired of having to back track back around the map and up a cliff in order to travel around the map as people literally wall off entire map and caves on PVE.

update

Problems and Solutions that may arise.
By default you can only really punch out thatch structures, Solution give all melee damage vs all structures a boost and or remove any buffs from structures that are located on the beach

This would allow anyone to get out of any situation of being trapped on a PVE server re-spawn location with out permanently blocking building all together so that anyone can still build fireplaces ect for food and or warmth survival ect
Not really a solution.Maybe a temporary solution, but not a permanent one. Your melee buff idea still isn't going to help anyone if the structure is metal.

The game should be coded not to allow people to build in a spawn zone - and - it should check for structures within that same radius and not use a spawn point if there's an obstruction in the zone. Could someone just wall off a spawn zone by scouting out that radius? Yes. That then would be grounds for a griefing report to the admins though, as it would be obviously intentional.

game should also not have a dino kill us before we even spawn in, ive died to many times when i had to do respawn in random location due to a wild spino standing right where i was
