Railing as fences are useless??
I made a pen, and currently have a baby paracer and preg deod, i have fence foundations with 2 rails on top of eachother, making a fence, i set the two to wander and somehow they teleport out, Its getting annoying and rly stupid, i don't wanna make a 3 high rail fence or higher, so whats the point? could someone help?

Sadly, to keep them in, you'll have to build tall fences. I had the same problem, but after I made my fences taller they stopped getting out.

*sigh*

Instead of indead of insulting the devs, why don't you report the bug in the bugs subforum, and include a video (if possible.) And any extra useful information.

Im not "insulting" the devs in fact i never was insulting the devs, i Love their game, and i hope they keep it up, all i am saying is that if this is not a bug what would be the point?

You are trying to use railings as fences... I would venture that they are not meant to be fences. I don't know the reason for using them unless they are cheaper in materials, and if that's the case. you'll have to eat the cost of materials to make solid walls to keep animals in. But I don't know that "railings" are going to work as "fences"

The railings are meant to be used for balconies and the like. They are not fences. They are mostly decorative. For fences you want to be 3 high, or 4 if you are in an area with alphas (As these guys can jump big fences). Preferably put a couple of rows of spikes outside to stop rex's from leaning in to bite the fence.

Tbf did he at any point insult the devs? He was making a point about a issue. It's why we are playing the game and not waiting till June 2016 for full release. We are in game testers.

In the patchnotes: * Railings can now snap onto each other to make taller railings or cages, and you can now shoot thru their holes.
I guess, you know what is the meaning of a "cage"?

I use them as fences, and yeah, had to do them 3 fences high to make not escape anyone, but I love how they work btw, they now can hold still even a Rex. It's perfect for mating :D

My dodo pen is as porous as Litchfield penitentiary... Nothing stays put. Yes, walls work - but they lack the aesthetic quality, being ridiculously oversized structures that detract from my main building.
