Identifying Babies Parents?

Is it only on the egg that you can see who the parents are of the baby? I thought once the baby was born it showed the parents on the HUD?

Havent checked.
Because of the breeding system i planned to make sure to add a letter after names and both on the child to avoid inbreeding and see what lineage they are.
Ex: "Papa raptor name" (A)
"Mama raptor name" (B)
"Baby raptor name" (AB)
Just saying this out if someone likes the idea, or you can try to add Surnames and combine them if that works out, (Sounds harder to me)

They have listed 'family trees' as a feature for the next iteration of breeding, so we can expect to see some more in-depth information about a baby's lineage later. For now my guess is you'll have to keep track of it yourself, either the way DarkRaptor has explained or in a document somewhere.

Ok thanks, it wont help me right now because i just did a test where I had my 97 Dodos wandering, and spammed 'u' for a while (longer than i realised i'd need to) and i had 5 eggs drop, but 4 of them i have no idea who they were from because i set the eggs to hatch instantly lol. So I found 4 babies wandering around!

Once they implement stat recession for sibling mating i think then you'll be able to see genealogical trees of the dinos.
