Life span of the broken rocks.....
Devs please can we shorten the duration of time the broken chunks of rocks linger on our screens? When farming stone there is no real reason we should have large chunks of broken rocks cluttering our screens and blocking the visibility of farmable rocks. Please make them more like trees i.e Chop down a tree and it vanishes prior to hitting the ground. This way we keep the animations and eliminate screen clutter. Anyway just my 2 cents.

I believe there is a setting in options that makes them not show broken on the ground. I reduced my gameplay to low memory once and the broken rock pieces didn't even appear.

Appreciate the response however no one should have to lower their graphics settings to achieve this. Also I see no reasons to have to wait for tons of broken unmineable rocks to slowly vanish before we can continue mining. As proposed a simple fix would be to have these fragments vanish as they hit the ground. Simular to what trees do currently.

I second this. I don't how many times my stupid butt has swung at broken pieces thinking I'm lagging lol. the clutter gets a little annoying

Thank you! Nothing wrong with the broken rock animation just need to have the shards vanish faster or better yet before they even hit the ground.

Instead of that, they should make it so that those rocks don't sink into the ground magically. But, make them mineable or have them slowly get smaller over time

It's actually a feature for PvP. Seeing the broken shards on the ground can let you know someone was in the area very recently.

I think they only last for ~20 seconds or so anyways.

Having to wait 20 seconds is an awful long time to have to wait to see where the next rock is. On PvP you would still see the rocks flying in the air. Thus giving away someone's position. They just wouldn't linger on the ground.

Maybe it's just me but that's not really a problem I've seen. You can run through them, so if you run forward and then if you stop you know you're hitting another rock.

Also, and again, the giant exploding lets you know a direction and maybe general area, but the stuff on the ground lets you know someone was right there in that specific area (for hunter tracking).

I've never had a problem finding the next rock (I have occaisionally hit the destroyed rock piece when not paying attention, but it's pretty easy to tell you hit air).

Wow 20 seconds. That's "so" long. If you don't have enough patience to wait 20 seconds, then there is something wrong...

And, I've never had a problem with the rocks getting in my way. They are very easy to see around. You either walk right through them, or move to either side a little, and you can see right around it.

I Don't think you're following the conversation or at the very least you are missing the original intent of the post. If it was just 20 seconds ya no biggy. I agree. However the thing is when you are working on very large stone structures and mining tens of thousands of stone then having to pause 20 seconds between rocks adds up into hours and hours.

There is NO reason at all. No added benefit in having the fragments of rocks that you can do nothing with cluttering your screen.

What I m sking for is a simple fix really. Just shorten the lifespan of the broken rocks. Let them vanish as they hit the ground or at the very least only linger for a second or two on the ground.

I understand what you're saying however if betwen the broken shards of rock going off like fireworks and fragments of rock hitting the ground in the general area where the rock is broken isn't enough to alert you to someone in the area i'm not sure what to say realy.

No reason for the fragments to linger on the ground for the duration of time they do.

I have never heard of anybody waiting for the rocks to disappear to continue mining. That is a YOU problem. The rocks don't stop you from mining other rocks. They are hardly even blocking your view. You are the only person I've ever heard of stopping after mining each rock.

Of course the rocks don't STOP you from mining. I never said they did. They do however clutter your the screen making it more difficult to decipher real rocks from fakes. They also serve no real purpose whatsoever other than to graphically show that you have broken a rock.

After the initial animation is done however there is once again no reason for these broken rocks to stay on the ground for the length of time they do. All I am suggesting is they shorten or even eliminate the time they linger on the ground. Very much the same way they have handled falling trees.
