Rex Breeding
So just so everyone knows, with base incubation and maturation times. (IE official servers) A Rex will take you 65 Hours from start to finish.

5 Hours of Egg incubation.
6 Hours of Baby Stage (Twins hatched yesterday at 4:40 PM, reached Juvenile at 10:40 PM.)

And since Baby Stage is 10% total maturation, 6x10 gives you 60 hours of Maturation until fully grown. Have fun with that.

PS, they were still alive and munching away when I left for work this morning. :steamhappy:

Well not really.

The engram situation isn't all that bad, once you grab a good number of blueprints the mindwipe stew can switch around your engrams and you can get everything solo.

As for the PvP bloat, that's more the problem of greed.

But the time sink is somewhat of a concern. But that's why I play on Unofficial.

That's because incubation time depends on the parents' level and maturation time depends on the baby's level.

I personally think they should make maturation take much longer. A dino should take at least a weak to become mature. Not that it should be a 24/7 time sync for a player, but they should try to be a little more realistic with the whole aging process.
I also would advocate that after a month or so your dino should grow old and die. Then there's a good reason for EVERYONE to be taming and breeding dinos.

I guess I wouldn't mind it taking forever so long as they nerfed the hell out of the food consumption. But right now with the amount of food it shouldn't be nearly as long to do.

I tuned the breed, mature and inc/ges time in .ini files.
I am busy anyway watching grass grow.
Seriously i dont dare go hours staring at an egg and baby untill its a juvenile...
Sorry to all you solo players out there but breeding really is fine how it is. Yes it takes days worth of work to raise new quality Dino's but it's well worth it. To those of you that haven't breed your Dino's I realize that it may not seem practical and worth it at the time but I promise if you actually put the time in, the tames you raise will be excellent. If you are actually a solo player with no intention of joining a tribe you should just play single player. In single player you can adjust breeding times to be much lower to fit the amount of time you can invest. Now if you are a solo player and you actually want to be on pvp stop. You can't possible have even the slightest chance of succeeding and you have to know that by now. The bigger tribes or even the medium sized tribes with 5-10 members will wipe you no problem even if they use worse tames due to their larger numbers. You will be endlessly wiped and will blame the game for your misfortune so do yourself a favor and join a tribe or get off pvp.
