Dinos Eating Babies.

Had twin argents last night and a Baby Saber. Had my Cats near the cat. Had my argents in the birds little Avi with door open. Was in My house when my sabers just attacked 1 Argent Baby twin leaving the other alone. BAD KITTY! And the other Sabers eat their baby. Not worried I have a farm of 200+ aregents and cats but is there something that triggered it or is it a bug?

Animals not on passive will sometimes attack and kill newborn, unclaimed critters. Happened since day one of breeding.

yeah you need to claim them fast or your dinos will attack and kill them.

If you have 200 cats and argents, you probably have room to make a nursery/incubation room. Hatching in the same pen or room as tames is just a disaster waiting to happen.

A decade later, I necro this post to notify people of the fact that this can happen to claimed babies too.

I claimed a newborn Megatherium and sought to lead it over to a structure. Led it up the ramp and as it was halfway there, my free-roaming "Attack your target" raptor pack just happened to come by and immediately ate it.

To reiterate, this one was claimed, I just claimed it before the incident and the text was green.
