dotn quote me, but i dont think it does, i will intentionally get one egg below 50% at some point, give me a few days given the cool down

I doubt it, but how would anyone know? It's not something you can really test like you can with a tame. This doesn't seem like an efficiency equivalent.

The only way you could is if you had two dinos that game you the same statted offspring each time. Then you get another egg, drop its health to 30% and hatch it.

Pretty sure offspring stats are given by RNGod.

70% chacne to get the best stats of the parents, so 4-5 eggs, each one being high health, then 4-5 others beign low health,

it would have to be done with twins to be a real experiment that meant anything

They are RNG, based on the parents stats, with a Mutation Variation that "improves" certain stats. So you can attempt to breed for specific stats. The baby inherits the larger stats from each parent (A limited amount not sure how many, but i'd guess 1 from each with the rest being determined randomly).

From what I've noticed, fresh taming a few dinos and writing down their base stats, then breeding them to produce a baby, I find that the babies inheret their stats from the base stats of the parents. However, it's not always the larger stats. I bred my raptors, and the baby ended up with the father's stamina, Food, and Weight, but inhereted the mother's HP, oxy. Both had the same Melee, so the baby's Melee just ended up the same as both parents base stat.
this is all well and good but i would like to know an answer the the question as wyverns dont have tamed parrents unless you get the mod. but still the first one is going to be an egg

short answer: no!

long answer: The stats of an offspring are already determined when the egg is produced and hatched babies always have a taming efficiency of 100%.
