Dino's Falling Through Ceilings "yet another post" Any Solutions?
Hello,

Just wondering if there is anything that can be done to prevent dino's from falling through both Ceiling Tiles, and Pillar'd ceiling tiles? This has been in the game since day 1 and it continues to be a real "@$@#.

I had to demolish around 30 walls today in order to get a Rex out from below our dino pen.

Can somone tell me if I "Double Ceiling" the floors off of the existing Pillars....will this help? or is it not worth trying?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Please dont' say...build your pen on flat ground...LOL.

Thanks again :)

If it has been around since day 1, WHY do you still insist on doing it???

People will continue because reasons.

Also i can understand why people would want to do this, having a giant fort with dinos inside seems appealing :D
I had that problem when logging on to the server and all buildings loads in and the dinos has sunk into the ground, i fixed this by not logging in near my dinos. away from rendering distance.

I had a double ceiling and logged off on top of it, I glitched through it after logging off.

The problem is mostly client-side. When you get within rendering range, the dinosaurs render first... and for a few seconds, the physics engine realizes there are dinosaurs floating in mid-air and tries to put them on the nearest surface before it even renders in. That's actually at your end... so when something falls into the floor just walk up to it and ride it a few steps and it'll come back up to where the server says it is. If you can't get on it to ride it, have it follow you and take a few steps away... same effect, it rises up out of the floor to where the server says it is.
Are you sure that this is the problem? Usually there is a difference to colliders and any graphic related stuff. Just see our base for example if I´m too fast I still get stuck on invisible walls. So the colliders were calculated first and are still in place. Colliders are used for physic related stuff, not the render stuff.
Today I logged in to find one of my pteradons inside the room with me. He fell through the ceiling (roof) where he was parked. I now have to decide what walls are safe to remove to get him out without destroying my house.
