Quetzals disappearing?
Hallo, peoples~! I got a question or two for you guys...

Ok, so... First of all, the server I play on is PvE, and it's only friends that we allow on the server playing (you need the password). That being said, something weird happened...

So one of my friends has a Quetzal, and she said she hasn't seen it for 2 days (it's usually chilling in her base). Now, our other friend has found that his 5-6 Quetzals are ALSO missing! Just POOF! Gone.

Now, both of them had many other dinos around, so they would have aggro'd, if something was happening to the Quetzals (which I doubt, since most of my second friend's were in very contained areas, where no wild dinos would ever get to). And that would mean someone from our tribe would have had to take them somewhere, but I haven't noticed anyone else online, nor would any one of them do something like that, since we all know each other IRL.

Anyway, can anyone lend some advice here? Is there any way to find where they went or what happened? Like some sort of mod or anything that helps locate tamed dinos? Because my friend's Quetzal had a tracker, but it's not locating it (maybe destroyed?).

Thanks, guys. :/ This is just... weird, for us.

IN SP i was taking a Quatz back to base and I was like 10M away and then my Quatz dissapeared. Searched all over. 2 days later I get the message: Your Quatz was killed by a Sarco...

We have a couple of dinos that just poofed on our private server as well, since the recent patches.

Yeh, ours went missing to and we can't track it, we have assumed it's dead.
Kept flying out of our base several times without any reason before it went completely missing though, found it on the beach, in some other base etc, but this time it seems to be gone forever.

Huh... So has something similar been happening to others? I just saw a post about someone's missing Argent in a similar manner, but it seems recent, while our Quetzals disappeared ~2 days ago.

There might be something to this, though, if it's patch-related.

It happened to me about 3-4 days ago.

Oh ok, so this might be the thing that happened.
Weird.

At least I know what went down, then. Thanks!

I'd wish mine would disappear, but I never saw one. Made a complete Dino wipe after they were introduced, but I have yet to see one somewhere. They are either bugged or insanely rare.

Quetal. The largest flying dino in the world.

I have found if you leave the quetzals hovering too long they will fly off and land somewhere! I have also on the odd occasion had my dinos attacked or me attacked and my quetzal will fly away from the danger! You have to go searching to find them again! For me l found my quetzal across the river landed on the ground along the beach area where a ton of sarcos spawn so they seem to keep the scare mechanic and they won't stay in the same place you left them hovering if you hop off or fall off from experience!

Apparently this is an issue. I have lost 3 brontos and a player on my server lost about 6 carbos.

Sheesh... So many issues recently, it seems. ^^;;

I heard about the flying off thing, which makes sense. But my friend always kept hers grounded down by her Spinos. And I'm pretty sure our other friend always had his grounded (he has a giant base that basically doubles as a flight hangar).

They tend to randomly fly away even on nautral, just build a small roof infront of its head so it get stuck when it try it again...worked for me.

Yeah, we're careful about that. But they were around many other dinos, and one even had a tracker. Besides, I doubt SEVEN would have all flown away at once. xD

Thanks for the tip, though!
