Just tried to logon tonight and im getting the error "Please ensure the server you are attempting to join is running the latest version of all mod "

I can see there are 12 people on the server now however. Can anyone please help me? Im not sure what im meant to do.

Are you able to contact the server admin and make sure that the server is updated on mods?

umm. im not sure. Ill look into that right now though. But i thought if could see people in there playing (it says 12/120 players online) then it must be working?

If you find a fix for this PLEASE let me know. One of my friends is having the same issue. I suggested he delete the \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Content\Mods folder but he said that didn't work. I even made him unsubscribe first before deleting, then subscribing to a collection I made. To no avail.

You probably updated a mod and the server didn't. Or the other way around. Every mod needs to be the same release as the one on the server.

As of right now, once a mod is updated, it is automatically downloaded to your computer. If you are in game when the mod is updated, then you will not get the update until you close ARK. The server has to be updated manually by the server admin.

What happened here is that a mod was updated, and you logged on and received that update. Everyone on the server was already playing when the update was released, so they are having no conflicts. The only way for you to be ablet to get in is to contact the server admin and have him update any mods running on the server through the ARK Server Manager

ok, well just so everyone knows. I ended up unsubsribing from all mods in steam. Launched the server and it redownloaded the mods and then everything worked fine.
Thanks for the responses/help.

It makes no sense why my friend unsubbed and even cleaned the mod folder(supposedly) - the server is up to date as it was ported back and forth from a singleplayer game to a dedicated server. A friend of mine whom had just downloaded the mods was able to join (meaning the server was up to date), but the other could not... even after un-subbing and re-subbing. @Wildcard QA any ideas? I'm running the dedicated server through the server files included with the game -- not the dedicated server download itself. This shouldn't be causing the problem because others can join except this ONE person.

her is a fix work with me

1- GO TO YOUR WORKSHOP IN ARK
2- GO AND UNSUBSCRIBI ALL MODS YOU HAVE
3- LAUNCHED THE SERVER AND REDOWNLOAD THE MODS
4- HAVE FUN :D

Sorry to bump an old thread, but did anyone find any proper resolve to this ♥♥♥♥?

Ive completely uninstalled ark, the mods, deleted the mod content from BOTH folders "Steamapps mod content & Workshop mod folder" - me and a friend, both together, downloaded ark, both have the EXACT same versions, yet he joins the server, it starts downloading the mods etc absolutely fine for him - now hes on.

But me? Server mismatch mods ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ over and over, its ridiculous now.

Fix1:
Exit and Restart Steam 3-4 times as Steam does not properly refresh the Mod Updates as you are supose to get them.

Fix2:
Delete the contents of your Mods folder

If neither of them work then it is most def. server side (unless the admin constantly keeps them up to date[not hard]) if that is the case restart your computer.
