I used 2 campfires the whole time, and a 3rd/4th on and off.

Why so many? I used 3 with no problems on many different eggs.

They might be in a biome with either extreme heat or cold, so they'll need the massive amounts of stacking thermal protection.
Though realistically only 9 would effectively stack well.

I actually had to use 5 on a tropical beach during a cold front for a Rex egg. Shocked me.

1) conditioners doesnt consume tons of fuel and need only electricity ))) connected to my main network

2) my 11 AC gives 1.5K insulation of each type

3) if outside temp is -48 or +50 you will need this to stay calm :)

I haven't tried it, yet, but to me it seems that the most efficient AC placement would be 1 floor densely packed with them.
Then a ceiling on top of that on which the eggs rest.
Then another ceiling on which you also put lots of AC.

Not sure if that adds enough insulation but it gets you a nice open space to do your breeding business.
I mean, the dino's.

I have 3 AC units and 6 fires. 8 hours cooking a Rex egg yesterday with 4 fires and I never had to flick a fire on or off. I could have basically lit the fires and gone to sleep. (Live in swamp on the dual-mounds near cave)

We use 4 acs, havent had any hp drops yet so its working nice, but so far we've only done 1 anky, 1 raptor, and a trike. Plan on doing a rex and spino tonight and a bronto this weekend if i can find a 100+ male for our high lvl female

Got 12 - 16 AC units on top of a mountain. All eggs are 98-99% health as they hatch.

I only use standing torch cause it gives +100 hypothermal insulation just like AC and campfire but they consume fuel slower than campfire and way cheaper to craft than campfire and AC.
