Baby feeding through feeding trough

So after 5 hours on continual keep him warm he hatched and he isnt eating from the trough why is that? all my other animals do.

If you read the update notes, you must put food in the dino when it's <10% of it's total health

just put food inside the dino before it dies.

When it enters juvenile age it then will eat from the food trough.

Depends what you are taming and their level. When the brown bar gets to about 10%, so you can gauge yourself.

So you need to read the patch note. The consumption bug will be fixed in the next patch.
However the buff of mature speed is stupid. It should take much longer. As you can automatically feed it with feeding throughs.
