Breeding : Fria curry help a lot for the baby stage
I've done some tests wih the new baby stage in 219.3 (hand feeding, no more through). While i was at it i decided to give the baby some fria curry : his food consumption drop from 1food pts/sec to 0.7/sec for 15 min.

Meaning if you give him fria curry you'll have 30% more time to react/not staring at his food bar. It take around 1 hour to get to the juvenile stage for a small dino, so 4 or 5 fria curry should suffice.

Sadly it will not help after the baby stage if you're feeding the juvenile/adolescent stage with through, since he'll eat every time his food drop bellow his cap. But if you're hand feeding him after the baby stage it will too (but you'll need to think about getting interned for hand feeding a dino for 10/30 hours post patch)

Thank you very much.

Threads like this do help with the whole process, rather than the usual whining-blame-the-devs...

Sweet idea. Doing a Raptor right now... Every bit helps.

Thx for sharing.

Oh and of course : the duration do not stack, you'll have to give him one curry every 15 min.

Does it also slow the overall maturing process as well or just the hunger? I don't know if the two are tied together at all.
Doywan Oct 15, 2015 @ 7:05pm
Didn't seems to slow it down. Plus the maturing process don't depend on food type, food rate or hunger, it's just a matter of time. Dino in stasis will still progress in growing, while barely/not eating.

Use lazarus chowder as well do regulate it's health as well :) I've been using curry and chowder since breeding came out ever since I heard about that bug

That would work, but I prefer chowder since the effect lasts 15 minutes and its not a one time thing. But just my personal preference :P

I've never messed with the "potions" other than Mindwipe, which I know doesn't work on tames. Have the potions always worked on dinos? My real question is does the mindwipe work on babies?

Mindwipe is the only one that doesn't work on dinos. Everything else does
