Dino Babies in Caves = OP
Servers that allow base building in caves will make it that much harder now to raid them as you will have to go through the new threats such as trikes, ankylos, mammoths, direwolves, frogs, carnos, spinos, rexes, etc... that were all hatched inside a base cave through breeding. you pretty much have no way to defeat these kinds of threats in a cave let alone last long enough to raid a tribe building inside a cave. cave babies that grow into full size dinos are gonna be so OP inside caves!!!

mommy and daddy dinos protect the outside and go to war with other tribes while the babies protect the inside and prevent raiding.

Except they'll be stuck in there and easy to just pick off. It works both ways.

Yeah. Good luck USING the animal in the cave.

Here I was thinking that it would just be easy to kill them cause they will have poor manuevering...

not really there are some caves where u can't just pick them off like you say. a good example is the cave on dead island. as soon as you come out of the water you can easily get wrecked right there as you can't shoot underwater other than a cross bow and once the ocean dinos get their babies you can pretty much set up sharks in those waters aswell to stop you from using a cross bow underwater.

the same goes for other caves where you have to deal with funneling through walls and turrets and then if you manage to get through all of that u still have to deal with these threats after.

cave dinos will just be another layer of defense from raiding and some like turtles, mammoth, trikes can be used for transporting metal, crystal, obsidian, stone and flint inside the cave which in turn gives the player more time to do other things for his tribe. like imagine an ankylo inside a cave gathering stone, flint and metal instead of the player having to manually collect it with a metal pick.

fertilize eggs can be transported therefore it should be easy to transport water eggs into caves. sure its a little harder once hatched but it might be done. that is unless the devs make water eggs different to hatch.

Sharks don't lay eggs

Big dinos inside a cave were never the problem assaulting them; people abused glitches to get Rexes etc. inside of them before. The insurmountable wall of metal gates was always the issue before.

8 hours sitting there and then you can't take it out ? Not many people will do this and you will always be able to shoot them with arrows (tranq should be easy kill) and also bring your own dinos (some caves even allow rexes and all of them except the cliff side one accept pteranodons.
(Yes they even fit through the water in carno island cave )

i have a turtle inside a cave since a couple of days ago where we didn't use a glitch he sort of just landed in there somehow (perhaps he teleported in there or something). in any case we tamed him inside the cave and that doesnt make us glitchers because he landed in there legitely on his own. now we use him to help transport the metal and stone to the foragers.

Thats a good idea. When they implement mammalian breeding Im gonna raise a Saber in the Lower South Cave. Sadly, its never gonna see the daylight.

Caves for chitin, really? Summon the broodmother for chitin mate, use a ptera to get all the artifacts in 30 mins twice (double broodmother for faster chitin farming )
