I will give your method a shot but for whatever reason I have never been able to see the pictures I have converted in game to paint.

I got mine to work, but the flag won't let me change anything. I wanted to save more than one file to change colors, but even if I rename the file it never brings up the option when I go to paint. The billboard took a bit of time, I had to make a ton of paint, and have it in my inventory when I went to make it.

Make sure to save multiple verions on blank items. This has worked for me for multiple signs good luck!

Woot! Thank you for that video. The other "guides" missed a critical step in the process which you covered nicely. I finally managed to do this! Now if they would just add in more colors :)
