Mosasaur with a Platform Saddle makes the Plesio completely useless

I love these platform saddles, but it almost feels like the devs just want to use it on as many things as possible since they spent such a long time on the programming of them instead of only giving it to a few creatures. I feel like there's should only be one platform saddle for a creature on water, land and air, any more than that would only make the weaker ones useless, I.E. The Plesio, since obviously the Mosasaur will be much stronger than it and it will be able to hold more structures, so imo the Mosasaur shouldn't have a platform saddle, because it was never meant to be a beast of burden like the Plesio is.

Some other examples:

DODOS. Parasaurs make dods useless. Please get rid of every dino that has two legs.
Only one land dino should have a saddle. Please remove them from trikes, rexes, etc.

Only one dino should gather stone. Please remove this ability from Anklys, it makes the Armadillo useless.

BIRDS> OMG BIRDS. Please remove the flying ability from Argents. It makes Pteranadons usless.

Metal picks axes! They make stone ones obsolete. AND HATCHES OMG WTH.

Variety is a good thing, and some people may prefer the plesio.

I mean...are you offended that the Mosasaur might actually be better? Do you think the plesio's feelings are hurt or something, or they are a victim of discrimination? I don't get it, what harm does this actually do?

Are you never planning on taming a Mosasaur, and therefore feel like those who do should be...punished somehow? Is this about dino inequality or something dumb like that?

What is the actual problem?

My only point is that each Dino has a purpose for taming, the Plesio was designed to be the beast of burden that's used to carry structures and have lots of weight where the Mosasaur was supposed to be a sort of T Rex of the water, being very powerful but slow. Giving the Mosasaur a platform saddle makes it so its filling both of these niches instead of keeping it balanced. It'd be like giving the Bronto the power of the Rex, which would be OP as hell.

My 220k hp 800% bronto swats rexs like flies xD Cant wait to get some generations happening off his bloodline.

I'm not sure what the stats on the mosasaurus on, but based on the wording of your post, neither do you. I would wait for a fair comparison before jumping the gun on the forums. It's difficult for us to discuss something in thought of improvement without knowing the details. Yes?

But based on your logic, the plesiosaurus is overall just a better underwater mount than the megalodon, and it gets a platform saddle. It's faster, it deals more damage, it scales more health. Where does this put the megalodon? Is this not a concern for you?

Mosa is an end game dino, plesio is mid game. That's like saying the rex makes the carno obsolete. You get them at different points in the game and they suit that use at that time.

Plesio as a "mid-game" dino? Seriously? Until they added the Quetz, plesio was still the most difficult tame, and had the highest-level saddle. So... no, no it isn't.

Expensive saddle, yes. I don't consider the plesio to be a difficult tame. Certainly not the most difficult after Quetz. Get some laz stew and a crossbow and you can easily tranq one considering they don't chase you if you're high enough in the water. You don't even need scuba gear. So I stand by my point.

That is a lot of health, hot damn. How quickly does it move, both at a regular speed and while "sprinting"? Any idea what it's damage is like? Does it use stamina quickly?

Mosasaurus is one of my favorite prehistoric animals, so I'm trying not to be biased here, haha. It's exciting for me.

well all the platform saddles are rendered pointless compared to the quetzal its far faster to fly above the terrain than wind your way through it and its far safer since their are no real threats in teh skies....set it up as a mobile smiithy pick up an anky and fly to teh tiop of a mountain since you can smelt the metal while you harvest it you can carry twice as much back... Ive seen no purpose for the water platform saddles since well there is far more land than water so it is incredibly limiting as to where you can go or what you can do with it...

Um I have a mosasaur,it has far more weight, far more health and obviously more melee than a plesio, and on top of all of that it's either just as fast or even faster than a plesio at base speed.
