Dinos stuck on "walk" only mode. Is there a fix?
Every so often I'll tame something and it gets stuck in a perma-walk mode. I try toggling all different combinations of settings and it still will only ever walk. Obviously makes it nearly useless as it won't ever keep up moving around. I haven't had this happent to something I can mount yet but things like Dodo's and the spitters are good examples.

Anyone know of a way to get these fixed so they'll move normal speed? Even sending them into combat they just walk slowly.

Does this happen on tames that you were doing when the server goes down? This used to be an issue but they said it was fixed...its possible that its back.

Will it still always follow you or will it sometimes just continue walking heedless in a direction?

Private server (no restarts or otherwise happening at the time).

It will always follow me, unless I get too far away. It acts normally aside from the fact that it will only ever use the slowest walk animation/speed.

Feels similar to the bug where dinos that get out of combat will always use the combat speed. Larger dinos will stomp (shake the screen) constantly unless you put them on passive and then back to neutral (or whatever). Only in this instance they always walk slow and I haven't found a fix for it yet.

Unfortunately I just died to a surprise raptor gangbang while grinding xp crafts on the beach minding my own business.... SOOOO no chance to keep troubleshooting the issue.

Is it overladen? If burdened but not so much that it can't walk, it reduces their movement speed

you sure their inventory is not full? :D

We had this happen with a carno, the solution ended up being as simple as attack with it.
Thing is, I have a feeling it was the stamina drain, rather than the attacking, that fixed it. So this probably isn't much help to the dinos that can't be ridden.

upload it to an obelisk, then download it again

I have had two dino's stuck in walk mode in the last three days.. I have yet to figure out how to fix it.

Had this happen once. I added a point to stamina, and it fixed the problem.

You can just order it to attack with a whistle, no need to ride it. Usually fixes this annoying issue.

As DamienCPT said level the dino and put a point into stamina and it should run again.

I'll try adding to stamina next time it happens.

Just FYI to everyone.

- Cannot ride it so nothing around that is possible
- I removed everything from inventory as well as filled it completely up trying to fix it
- Sending it to attack (and it getting attacked) didn't fix it

This was just some sort of bug which I'm sure will eventually be fixed. I've found other bugs that typically have workarounds and was curious if anyone found onf or this. Sounds like trying adding to stamina might be a good test next time it happens.

This is an odd bug that pops up on occasion after taming, the server seems to think the dino has no stamina despite it technically having infitine while in follow mode.
Just knock the said dino out with narcotics and then wake it back up and it'll be fixed
