It will always follow me, unless I get too far away. It acts normally aside from the fact that it will only ever use the slowest walk animation/speed.
Feels similar to the bug where dinos that get out of combat will always use the combat speed. Larger dinos will stomp (shake the screen) constantly unless you put them on passive and then back to neutral (or whatever). Only in this instance they always walk slow and I haven't found a fix for it yet.
Unfortunately I just died to a surprise raptor gangbang while grinding xp crafts on the beach minding my own business.... SOOOO no chance to keep troubleshooting the issue.
Thing is, I have a feeling it was the stamina drain, rather than the attacking, that fixed it. So this probably isn't much help to the dinos that can't be ridden.
Just FYI to everyone.
- Cannot ride it so nothing around that is possible
- I removed everything from inventory as well as filled it completely up trying to fix it
- Sending it to attack (and it getting attacked) didn't fix it
This was just some sort of bug which I'm sure will eventually be fixed. I've found other bugs that typically have workarounds and was curious if anyone found onf or this. Sounds like trying adding to stamina might be a good test next time it happens.
Just knock the said dino out with narcotics and then wake it back up and it'll be fixed
