Something up with Sarco?
Maybe this is known, if so sorry. Is there something up with the Sarco?

1) Last night had a "hell" night with a ton of carnivores. Sarco was pretty badly beat up in the fight. Made sure he had a ton of fresh meat on him. 12 hrs later, he still hasn't healed. Is it because I logged off? These things have to eat while I'm gone, do they not heal while I'm gone?

2) This Sarco has a real "land" problem. Whenever I'm riding him on land, I'm rubberbanding like crazy. No other dino's have the issue (Bront, Trike). He also seems to have a funky collision box. Even though his entire body is clear, he'll be clipping on a tree. He does a similar thing on my raft when I put him on there. The raft will act like it's beached. Even if I rearrange him. And then, when I try to ride him off the raft, he won't move as if he's stuck on the sail. Trying to rotate 360 in diff directions doesn't free him.

Any ideas? Is this normal? He's my first Sarco so I'm not sure but he's been a problem child since I got him.

1) Do you play SP or MP. If you play SP then he will not heal because the game isn't running. If you play MP he will heal passively but how fast depends on how "Dino Health Regen" is set. What i recommend if he is badly hurt just force feed him meat, i heard cooked prime meat is best for health but lots of regular meat will work too.

2) The last time i used a Sarco as a mount i had huge problems with jumping forwards/backwards in water plus he is too fast for me. It is possible that there is something funky going on with his hit box.
I would verify your game cache to make sure your game is not corrupted. If after that there si still such problems I recommen report it to the developers in the bug forum.

In my opinion, Sarco's are horrible pets because of their controls and their attacks cause hellish rubberbanding.

As for your HP issue, I have this problem with my Paracer.
He had a chunk of HP missing when I returned to base. So I piled 100x of each berry type on him before logging out for the night. When I came on the next day, his Health had hardly regenerated at all.

Thought this was just me.

(We play on an unofficial PVE server that, obviously, never shuts off)

whats not seen ... does not exist.
if noone is around for more then about 15 minutes, things wont be calculated - no starving, no HP reg.

wont ever happen on well populated offical server. but on a nearly empty private server things can fall into 'stasis'. (hearsay. each statement without engagement!)

This isn't true for this case as other Dinos that I leave injured when disconnecting are always fully regenerated when I next play. This is why it was so noticeable when it happened with my Paracer.

Also, in this instance, some Tribe Mates stayed online after I disconnected and were working in base, so the Paracer would still be "loaded" in so to speak.

I know I logged off on an unofficial server with my bronto at 3k hp out of 5k. Logged back in the next day to see it hadn't healed at all. Not sure why that is.

I'm on an unofficial server that's always running.

Here's how the situation developed.

Sarco and I were running up and down rivers because I'm just starting to explore. Got to a point where there was a Spino, some raptors, and a Alpha Rex (or one of them big ones) fighting. So I pivoted left, ran up a hill and down a mountain. Ended up in a swamp. About 15 snakes, 4-5 frogs, a raptor, and a couple of Dilo's. I did not survive.

My base is ridiculously far from where I was. So I hopped on my Trike and took off. I got up there, cleared out the area, couldn't find my body (it was no where), but I found my Sarco. He was down to about 1/4 health. I leveled his health once or twice with his new levels. We then ran down the river. Ran face first into another Spino and Carno. I killed them with the Trike but Sarco went down even more. Further down was hit by a raptor pack, killed them but now the Sarco was down to about 200 HP. He had at least 6-8 loads of 20 meats on him. I cleared the spoiled as I wasn't sure if it'd hurt him to eat.

It got so bad, I put him on Neutral. Swam him to a friends camp, grabbed the raft and high tailed it back to my base. He was about 400-500 health when I got there. I cooked, ensure dino's were fed, and logged off. 12 hours later (this morning) I logged in to see he was only at 800 health.

Just seems strange to me. I did do a Google search and saw Sarco's have a strangely large hitbox (which stinks because his attack radius is minimal), so the sticking makes sense. The Trike which had been damaged in all the fights (about 50% health so about 1.5K health left) was fully healed this morning. I wouldn't even have noticed if not for the fact the Sarco still had the "bloodied" skin on him when I went to return the raft I borrowed.

maybe the unofficial server admin has messed about with healing settings.
Ikeda Oct 6, 2015 @ 11:34am
Can you mess with the healing settings of only 1 dino? The Trike healed just fine from the experience, the Sarco, not so much. That's why I was curious. But I've had a couple of Trikes before, I never had a Sarco so I didn't know if it was animal specific.

Im playing on an Official server and I did notice my sarco's seemed to have stopped eating since the biome patch. As in there food doesn't appear to be going down like it used to. Could be linked.

Yea, I logged in 24 hrs later and I still had good meat in it but it was not healed. Something is def up with this.
