Admin Mount

Hello Survivors & Developers,

I rent a server from Black Box (great service so far btw) and as the server administrator I would like to be able to fly around on an Argentavis and run around on an Alpha Rex.

How do I summon pre-tamed versions of these beasts so I save time and not have to go into god mode and tame them the standard way?

I see the "admincheat summon Argent_Character_BP_C"

I am unsure what the "BP" or the "C" stand for?

And are these pre-tamed?

You can't summon pre-tamed things.

Summon with God mode on, and forcetame.

Summon what you want, type "admincheat onlyplayers" in console, forcetame, type "admincheat onlyplayers" again in console to re-enable dino movement.

you can't summon tamed creatures. you will need to summon a wild dino then use forcetame on them. if you need you can also enable god mode (which isn't actually god mode but whatever) so the dino doesn't kill you while trying to use the command.

type in the command line:

admincheat spawndino "Blueprint'/Game/PrimalEarth/Dinos/Argentavis/Argent_Character_BP.Argent_Character_BP'" 1 1 1 (*)

(*) = level the dino is going to be. (You can spanw in level 10.000.000.000 in SIngleplayer, dont know about multi)

This command will spawn a wild argentavis of your desired level right in front of you.

For an alpha rex type

admincheat spawndino "Blueprint'/Game/PrimalEarth/Dinos/Rex/MegaRex_Character_BP.MegaRex_Character_BP'"
1 1 1 (*)

Then just use admincheat forcetame on them.

I believe the summoned alpha rex will despawn on server reboot.

But, why do you need to summon an argen and alpha rex to roam the server, unless you are going to be the only person on the server.

Believe it or not, most players don't enjoy any form of admin abuse; this is from their perspective. Even admins that only play(not spawning or forecetaming of anything) are still eyed with suspision by players.

You have plenty of tools to deal with issues. Riding around and looking down on the players does not really add to their fun.

was not aware you could pick the level of dino that spawned, I was always told you couldn't (dedicated server). has this been changed recently or have I just been given the wrong information ?

Lol just stop being lazy and tame an Argent it takes what an hour on pure Prime and less with Kibble for a 100+ assuming it reaches 160+ when tamed you would have a decent bird. Better off just spawning and forcetaming the dragon! Much more worthy admin mount.

This is a good point. But I am playing only with good friends and our wives. As admin I will be riding/flying around looking for alpha's or some other thing and setting missions for the players to complete. If they do it under time I drop good loot comenserate with the achievement etc.

If you really need a mout to go aroudn on, just use any flyer with infintie stats and speed maxed out. The admin flgiht mode is kind of a joke, too slow to be useful for looking for trouble makers or getting to someone to get them unstuck etc.

Be aware that summoned mounts seem to not spawn in with the same AI packages that normal dinos have. They also have oddities such as being able to ride them with no saddle if you use force tame.

Save yourself some time, walk, fly, and swim on a dragon, all you gota do is crash teh server and bam the dragon wont despawn

Put God mode on. Then enter the summon code. Then look at the animal and enter CHEAT FORCETAME.
