How high fortitude do you need to live in the artic?
I have a fortitude of 38 I wear all fur armor all the time and I still freeze my ass off I would' be bothered by using some of the mindwipes I have. The only thing that concerns me is if its just not possible even when in my house next to a conditioner I'm still cold so I have my doubts.

Watch Draaxlp video on fortitude I think he goes up to 100 but you don't need it. I haven't spent enough time in the snow to find out what the absolute bottom temp is so beyond that I can't help you

this question has been asked so many times and the answer is there is no safe "spot" I got 54 fortitude full fur set and i still need Fria curry when it gets realy cold.

Are there any Tauntauns there in case you get lost and have to sleep inside one?

Right now I have 90 fort, and with full fur I "snowflake" at -12c. I have yet to "iceblock" (coldest temp encountered in snow biome so far is -20c).

Fortitude still isn't terribly effective. Invest in at least 20 and use fur armor but there will still be times you get the ice cube. I try to do everything in the day myself. You can invest more like you did, but I feel over all you'll end up burning points better spent elsewhere. Especially when just a bit more food and some curry solves the problem too.

Hopefully they will raise fortitude's effectiveness some more in the future.

obviously you could just max out fortitude and would be fine... i think the real question is what is the Lowest you could have your fortitude and never freeze (lose HP) to the cold; in the snow biome.

the problem, is their is no general temp for the entire snow biome (or the entire map for that matter) rather, there are pockets of temperatures all over.

if you already have a base location; id suggest using a mindwipe tonic and save your last handful of points for Fortitude and experiment with what your base location would consider a comfortable fortitude level for the general area.

if you don't have an area in mind yet; id suggest finding one and doing the above so as not to waste extra levels into fortitude that you wont need to.

Furthermore, seems there are hundreds of different opinions on the validity of fortitude; let alone how far to take it. I suggest doing some of your own testing, cuz you wont get a straight answer from the forums.

I live, work and play in the north and my fortitude is in the low 50's (cant remember exact since I am not in game). But I can get by with fur pants and gloves and the rest flak with no health loss until the weather get below 0f which isn't too often and doesn't stay too long. Only real trouble I had was this morning when it was -12f for a full night cycle and I had trouble getting out of ice cube until I went full fur and stood next to a torch and forge.

I dont have any fortitude just a full fur set. And its enough for me. Sometimes when a snowstorm or blizzard comes up i lose hp. But them i can go back in my house warm up and go out for the next 30 minutes.

I honestly don't have a problem with building a fire every now and then, it's no big deal. My fortitude has like...10 points into it.

i have 18 fort with full fur and survive fine.. every once and awhile at night or a blizzard i have to pull out my torch but aside from that im totally fine,

10 fortitude and furry armor seems to be enough, But you would need a bit more food than normal, which is easy to find there.
