Despawn? :(
There is these two rexes in my way so i cant get resources or explore. im at the edge of the island, its shaped like a v. in the middle it slopes up and creates cliffs on either side of it, leaving two different beach paths. i first saw what i thought was a albino carno, but when i saw it compared to a trike, i knew it was an albino rex, and it was getting close to my home. my home was at the very edge of the ark, the tip of the v. it wandered down the left path, and i walked out to look later on and it was nowhere to be seen, and a bunsh of large herbivores were there, so i presumed it was gone. then it ran down a path from the cliff i didnt even know was there, and was with a brown rex aswell, brown went for a bronto, albino for me. it hit me into the water and i swam outwards for 10 seconds, neither rex was interested in me anymore, so i got out of the water and ran. i was safe. one time when i was up on the hill in the middle a bit away from my house, i was big albino rexie coming at me again, so i jump off to the right edge. i came back to get my stuff from the right side, and no rex was there, and my carcass was untouched. 30 minutes later i was walking down the right side and was spotted by the albino rex. again. it chased me and hit me into shallow water, then went for a stego, so i ran. again. i went around to have another look at the left side, and a little further down was the brown rex. a t rex on each side. so here i am, the next day, having spotted a rex on each side of the v, and knowing they could get onto the hill in the middle. can these rexes de-spawn? Not sure if dinos can despawn, but you can force despawn them.
First press Tab, to bring up your console. Type into it "enablecheats" (without the quotation marks).
Then type in "admincheat destroywilddinos" (once more without the quotation marks).

This will force respawn all wild dinos in your world so it may cause lag, but it should remove the rexes. As an aside, Islands often have apex predators on them and are rather dangerous. Either move house or tame a strong Trike to protect yourself with ASAP.

Dino spawns are persistant, they will only go away if killed.

I'm not a pro with console commands, but you may have to type in "setcheatplayer true" (also without quotation marks) before you do step two. Dinos start respawning quickly (eg around a minute) but they can't spawn too close to you so the area aound you and your pets should be fully safe.
type enabledcheats in one word!
but iIrc ... you don't need to in singleplayer!! Try to just write destroywilddinos, or use admincheat destroywilddinos ..
I know you can use ie. fly and walk without any cheat or admincheat infront of it tho...

He doesn't have to type the "admincheat" or even "cheat" part of it in singleplayer. I do feel you OP, as (I'm fairly sure you are in the SE) I was stuck in the same area because there were two dominums (not rexes) and three spinosaurus on either side of my beach base) I ended up waiting it out as they were killed by brontos before I started training a raptor to kill them. Now I am level 68 in the same area with an albino rex, a lvl 54 Spino (I play on difficulty 0.25) and a bronto. The only tames I am missing are the ones from the north and the swamp (including paracer)

can you change difficulty in game and what does it change?
Stomatopoda Oct 4, 2015 @ 8:27pm
The levels that wild dinos spawn in at, loot drop contents and (I think) dino damage resistance.

so how do you change it, and can you change it without restarting island and character?

Assuming you're playing SP when you click "Host Local/SinglePlayer" it gives you all these options. Difficulty is a slider on the left side of the screen.
