i think on my other server i decided the dinos were better than journeyman metal tools. but i always tame a high lvl. it aint worth being bored forever to tame something if your not gonna get a good dino out of it.
Well Doeds do get obsidian.
But it's not really new, we used to have a diving ankylo for the underwater oil rocks near the shore. The oil rocks on the surface obviously make farming oil even easier, but depending on the server those rocks might be heavily contested.
Oh, and I see in the patchnotes that they fix "Some Resource quantity fixes in Snow Biome", so the surface oil rocks might become harder to come by
I wouldn't mind them making the on land oil nodes act more like the ones in the underwater caves where they give you about half of what you get from nodes in the middle of the ocean. And less of them, it looks really crazy on some of the small islands in the snow area with all the nodes on them.
