Passing out at only 10% torpor.
Every time I get touched once by a frog or titanboa my character passes out despite only being brought to about 10% of max torpor. But at the same time I have to bring a creature to max torpor to render it unconscious. Does anybody else see a problem there?

No, it seems about right. You mean when you get knocked out you want to wait 10x as long to recover?

That is not what I said, and either way when you go down the animal that renders you unconscious will catch up and max your torpor out and kill you regardless.

So if you go down at 10% it is a death sentence anyway. Why not have it so that you go down at 100% like all the other creatures in the game?

I recommend slotting some stimberries or stimulants when fighting such creatures. Knocking you out is their special feature since most of them are not that tough in terms of health. They defend by knocking you out.

Yeah I guess I could do that, all I am trying to do is tame a low level frog. In order to do so I need to kite it back to my mining camp up the hill, but every time I get aggro the thing gets snagged up on a piece of geometry every 20 feet or so causing me to have to run back, hit it again, turn around, run away, rinse repeat. It is getting pretty annoying.

Just shot, run, shoot, run and repeat til its down. Easy as that ;-)

question are you sure its only 10% i think it has to get more then that next time it happens and you go out hold down H, you'll be able to see how much torpor you have at knock out, don't go by how full the torpor indicator gets because that'll def mislead ya

I definitely go down when my torpor meter looks really low. A single scorp sting drops me 100% of the time after a few seconds.

Good way to make me fear something so it's good with me!

Other night I got stuck between rocks with 3 scorp and 3 carno around me. My pteradon killed nearly all of them as I slept lol

Start pumping some fortitude to counteract torpor (and temperature) effects.

Find a big rock near the frog, or a ridge, either with a path you can climb on one side. Kite the frog to the other, tranq it then run around to the path and up the stone/ridge to overlook the frog. It will try jumping straight up instead of going around and if you pick your terrain right you'll be out of reach and free to tranq it at your leisure with no concerns. Proper use of terrain features is one of the most valuable skills in this game.
