Megaloceros Tips??

So I tamed a Megaloceros and I was just wondering what is it really used for, how do I get the most out of it? :)

Nothing really Unique about it , just another mount to play with.

1 its a good snow mount

2 speed, and stam and health

3 males are good for melee

4 look like a bad*** riding it

yes, then go sanic fast in the snow.

I tamed one thinking it was good for thatch. After about an hour I killed it and threw away the saddle. IMO it's useless. You can find better dinos.

We use our guy for gathering thatch quickly. Best part is, he doesn't pick up berries, so there's a lot less inventory dumping!

they can be used for everything pretty much.

Overall it's a balanced mount. Faster then most creatures with a good pool of other stats. Works well as a travel mount if you invest in its speed and weight. Does a decent amount of damage, if a male, and has pretty high stamina at the get go. And it harvests thatch pretty well, though you'd get more from a trike or metal pick, but it's still a viable contender.

It's a fantastic ground mount in my opinion when it comes to transportation. They're decently strong, as fast as the saber/direwolf yet their stamina drain is way better.

Its not that useful - yet. The males are eventually supposed to have a charging horn attack that causes a bleed DOT, should meke them an interesting mount.

SP. But its a terrible thatch collector. I got more thatch from an anky in a few minutes hat I got from this guy after 10m. Nevermind the annoying sound that it makes all the time.
