Even the red, yellow and purple drops. for me they mostly contain either metal structures or medium crop plots.
I went to a few red drops, and so far I've only gotten primitive chitin chestpieces from them all, sometimes purples aren't too bad - got all the blueprints for every piece of metal structure - if only I could get better tools! D:
You can get j-man tools out of blue sky drops and up. Just saying because most people don't realize this.
Oh really? Guess I should stop ignoring the blue drops then, thanks dude!
Say, do you know the order of drops? I just know I can open any of them and Red is "meant to be the better loot"
White = lvl 3
Green = lvl 15
Blue = lvl 25
Purple = lvl 35
Yellow = lvl 45
Red = lvl 60
The loot seems to be completely RNG based (in my experiance). Even red drops have a lot of Medium crop plots or water jars
You should never ignore drops if you're farming them on pve .. or if you have free range on pvp.
Open it up and toss the contents on the ground if it isnt something you like. Doing this allows for another drop to spawn. It just allows you to be a bit more effiicient if you're specifically faarming for something.
However, what Blackfyre said is true. Cave drops are far better than sky drops atm. This may or may not change when the devs do a balancing pass on supply drops in the coming weeks.
When you say cave drops do you mean random stuff or the 'chests' at the end of the caves?
I find caving and camping crate respawns helps and using a speed buffed pterra helps...
how ever the number of medium crop plot, compass and water jar BPS I have gotten is some where in the thousands I think...
Not only do they have a higher chance of containing something useable, but also the intensities on the items you get are higher from cave drops when compared to sky drops.
I've found ramshackle saddle bps with almost 50 ar, apprentice saddle bps with 60 ar, and j-man saddle bps with 69 ar. All from cave drops ... I've never seen anything like this from sky drops.
