And that actually would probably make taming more effective.
Taming isn't pointless in that your effectiveness determines the bonus levels you get, then you get the tamable levels..
example: if you have 100 tamed levels. and then tranq a rex at level 100, if the effectiveness says "100% +30" that means that upon taming you will get a level 130 rex, at which point you can add your tamed levels, so level exp level 2 starts is level 131. you can raise this guy all the way up to the max number of tame levels on your server so on mine its 120 which means you could get this guy up to 250.
Each time the dino eats it has a chance for that effectiveness to go down, hence why you have to use kibble and prime meat. if you increase hungry they will eat less often and require even less meat when you should use prime meat. (since it wont spoil as fast).
Now what you can do is you can increase the healing rate because when they heal, they use the food, which will cause hungry to increase if you did damage to the dino while trying to tame them.
this will make them harder to kill however (not always a bad thing on a modified server).
The point in the long taming times is you were able to capture, knock out and protect the creature while tring to tame, which is rewarded with the bonus levels, increasing how easy it is basically makes players with skill not matter.
My reason, why I want to change taming is, because I tamed a quetzal yesterday and all I had to do is shooting it down, while a tribemate cleared the landing zone, then we build a wooden wall around it, put the kibble in it and went afk reading stuff in the forum, because there was no danger and nothing more to do. So I want to get the taming time out of the game, but still the same amount of kibble, so you wont be able to tame a T Rex with only 10 kibble.
