[Fan Dossier] Introducing the Koolasuchus!
Common Name:
Koolasuchus
Species: Koolasuchus gelidus
Diet: Carnivore
Temperament: Patient

Wild:
This little amphibian has been more than a nasty surprise for those who do not watch carefully. They will hide among the rocks at the bottom of streams, the muck of swamps, the sands of deltas, and the dirt of rivers. They use their wide jaws to grasp onto prey while the needle like teeth cause major bleeding. Their blood thinning saliva does not help the bleeding either.

Domesticated:
Although these lazy amphibians are quite deadly, I have seen them put to use in many tribes. The mucus secreted from their skin is gross yet very useful. The mucus protects against bacteria and slows the decay rate of perishables.

Known Information:
Strangely, I have found these amphibians far north in the snowy areas, comfortably preying on smaller creatures and little baby mammals. I couldn't believe my eyes at first since I had only previously seen them in the swamps of the south. Koolasuchus is apparently able to traverse a wide range of temperatures without any negative effects.

Author's Notes:
I thought of this idea after making a very sad joke to my friends about the Koolasuchus being "Kool as ice"... After thinking about it, I began to really get into this idea of Koolasuchus being a sort of mobile Preserving Bin. It would keep perishables, such as raw meat, from spoiling at a rate that is less than a Preserving Bin but better than anything else. (Other than a fridge) This could be slightly increased by raising health as the healthier one of these is, the more slime is produced and the more potent its effects.

Thank you for reading and let me know if you want to see my other dossiers. I have three others that I might post!

koolasuchus wasn't a small amphibian....i thought it was one of (if not the largest) temnospondyl
ever! and that's big, 5m in length is enough to exceed most present day crocs.

About the size, no ARK creature is ever accurate to size and mine is no exception. It just happened to evolve to be smaller on The Island. Although, Koolasuchus IS a temnospondyl which are often considered primitive amphibians.
