Quetzal too Rare to find.

Me and my lot been all over the Island, Over the mountains, Can't find a Single one, the Server it updated and everything, there just WAY to rare to find :/

It's not really in the mountain tops. They constantly fly around. Best to use a bird to find them and you will need to use a bird to tranq them. High stamina bird works best.

Give it some time. New dinos take a day or two to start populating the island in substantial numbers.

Exactly start killing ♥♥♥♥♥ to help repopulate the island so the birds can get their alloted in the respawn mix. This is how it is going to be for all new dinos fyi.

They also tend to fly way high up over the treeline than most creatures we are used to. If you fly higher and look around you find them more easily.

Found a few on my server near the volcano but they are right they fly way higher then the other birds 3x treetop level

I've been flying for hours i cant find one, i Give up, there too hard to find.

If on single player use the "destroywilddinos" command to help reset the spawns but yea i'v only seen one so far, i'm going to try flying from mountain to mountain to find them.

Yeah I've been looking for hours too. I'm just going to wait until I stumble upon one now.

Hit the wiki and look at the suggested zones - fly around those areas and you'll likely eventually spot one. The ones that I've seen are usually not too far above tree height. Two around Volcano or the Fang and one on the Southeast area in the cove area highlighted.

Spawn rate should be higher, I cleared the spawns on my server and it took me 30mins to an hour to find a single one. I think it's more fitting if they're just around the high mountain peaks.

same...it's way too stressful to find one, even if i did find one it was lvl 12 -.-..

Keep them rare then you will be proud when you get one :)
