Map edge killed me and dino, no chance of recovery

Has anyone else had this problem? Was on the Island, Nitrado Unofficial, PC, PVE. Was heading out to on a baryonyx when I got too close to the edge of the map.

The game took me to the respawn screen, so i came out, grabbed backup scuba and headed to the spot. The bary I was riding is now gone (no death message, just deleted) and I had no body to recover...It was also deleted, along with all my stuff.

Anyone had this problem, or is it new?

If it's new, BEWARE! The edges of the map may now be porous and you, your stuff and your tame will be deleted from the game.

Did you happen to do it while using the command “fly”? That’s one way of doing it. Other than that, you should just bounce off the barriers.

There are supposed to be two barriers, one to block players going off the map and a second barrier to kill players who somehow manage to cheat their way past the first.

Problem is, the two barriers were never lined up properly. It's an issue going back years, but the 'instakill' barrier is inside the blocking barrier across a chunk of the map. It also kills you if you fly too high.

I have seen several about dying at the barrier since the event update.

i lost my magmar and my items too in extinction ,when i was flying around the map . suddenly my screen became red and everything of my armor just instantly broke and dino and stuff gone . was able to recover my stuff with godmode , but i was still mad about that no warning ♥♥♥♥.

Extinction has its own barrier where your implant becomes unstable. You have a short time to get back within the playable area before you are terminated along with your tame

I thought I would chime in on this. I have a private server my buddy and I run for just us. We have no settings to cause this but he was completely wiped out hitting the border with no bouncing off or easy to see border. Lost a complete Raft base all creatures killed somehow he survived only to suicide by shark.
I get they are fighting the Griefers and cheaters but this is sad we all have to suffer. Why not just BAN anyone that wishes to cheat for any reason at all? This is why we do not open our server to the public. PC gaming community has some that seek to ruin games for others. To me there should be a Community Steam Ban list that removes such people from ALL online gameplay just just a game at a time. If you seek to cheat in one game you will do it in all games.
Sadly though can not get Steam to fix their toxic Review System so combating cheaters on a community basis will never happen. Only so much one team can do though.

^ I would agree with a steam-wide ban but still a limited time period since false bans do happen just like IRL. Never happened to me since I play safe at all times. :-D

same here,was on a basilasaur around herbie island looking for lobsters, hit the barrier went straight to respawn screen,spawned back in and i found the dino but no sign of my body or stuff.
