What do people play for PVP

Last time I played PVP really was when Gen the one map with the rideable bats came out. Since then i stopped and switched to pc but actually never managed to get into pvp again. Now that the new ark is out and offcial servers r closed, do people still play this (the og) for pvp? or is it recommended to get the new one (i hope it is holy i forgot on pc its like 300 GB WITHOUT genesis, i have all of the other maps aka scoreched earth, abberation and extintion)? I got nostalgia from listening to nerdout and now i wanna play it again. It was a great part of my early teenagehood.

I don't play PVP at all in ark. I don't feel like logging in to find all my hard work gone because lazy thieves stole it.

PVP in any kind of RPG style game with stats is ridiculous in the first place. And doubly so in ark where not only can the player be a higher level, but their WEAPON can be a higher level too. I have an ascendant shotgun that's like +641% damage. How in the world would that be fair if the other person has a base level shotgun? It's beyond goofy.

And to make it even funnier.... those that love those magic ability games not based on actual skill... They'll tell you to "git gud" if you complain about it. Why I rarely play any MP game today. The leveling systems keep players away that know any better.

yeah look on mels server list on discord to get new wiped servers every week,
big wipes like mesa ark cluster got 1.200 players aktiv on wipe day, but only tryhards play these days

so to answer youre question yeah there are people who play pvp to find those go on youtube and search ark pvp and cl,ick the newest ase pvp vids and go discription there might be a discord

Depends on what servers u want. ASA has offiucal servers if u want more Offical styled PVP but alot of ASE servers have custom setting since there unoffical. ASA is just prettyer version of ASE imo and i stay on ASE untill ASA becomes objectivly better and fixes the stiff they promissed ASE.

U can find good server that wipe evey few weeks on ASE pvp and have boosted rates so u dont spend days trying to lvl up and such which makes it good.

MESA and INX are 2 big pop servers that still exist for ASE

You don't play ark for actual "PVP". People play it so they can stomp on opponents that are no possible threat to them. PVP in ark consists of a dozen players in tek armor flying on wyverns hunting a single beach bob with a stone pick. It's people picking the wings off flies, and burning ants with a magnifying glass. That's your answer.

Honestly, Ark hasnt had good pvp since Abberation mate.

I play dayz mostly when i want some pvp, theres more skill to it and far less cheaters/p2w players.
