A lot of us never played on them. Actively avoided them even.

If you want to switch to Ark survival ascended, they have official servers now.l

Clearly since you havent for over a year, they werent missed all that much :P.

There are still 30,000+ unofficial servers out there to play on (ASE's official servers were only around 1400ish at the time of shutting down btw).

Of those 1400 supposedly "public" servers, many of them were in practical effect actually private servers controlled by a single large group. If new players joined, their avatars were hunted down and knocked out. They then handcuffed the bodies, and put them in prison cells essentially and kept the bodies unconscious. The group doing this would have to keep feeding the bodies and keep them drugged and unconscious.

If the player owning the avatar logged in, they're were unconscious and locked up. And as long as the "Alpha" tribe could keep them from dying, the person who owned the character could not respawn anywhere else. They were just stuck that way.

So essentially they turned public servers into their own free private servers for their sole use.

I wasn't sad to see them go.

The officials were broken for a long time, with rampant building spam so no there were practically no free building areas, the toxic stuff like described above, and other practices even worse.

The 1400ish official servers were all servers be they pvp or pve. Of course on the pve servers(which at the time were around half of the 1400ish ones), people werent going around a knocking others out etc :P

As for keeping somone as a prisoner like that on pvp servers, then, it wasnt as easy to consistently do as you're implying either. Sure it did happen but even large mega tribes working around the clock in shifts found it to be tedious :P

oddly enough my message was deleted in bad faith by the moderation for so-called "begging" even though it was clearly a rhetorical question. so, and this is a rhetorical question not to be taken literally : so can you give us everything you own that you haven't used for a year ?

go dm him if it has "nothing to do with readers". you are in the public forum. nice avoiding the point. reported your insults, surely if they can find wrongdoings where there are no one they will see this

One of my employees had to happen to him. A huge chinese clan ran the whole server. He moved on to another server (an unofficial one), but kept checking periodically on the old one just to see how long it would go on. After 7 months of still being drugged and imprisoned, he stopped checking. 7 months. LOL.

There was of course last year a rather large set of discussions and youtubers who covered the what was transpiring on the official conquest servers, of which that may have been relevant to your employee. Conquest servers were denoted by people at the time to have had some different.... standards as well from the other official servers with regards to how issues were handled but that is per the plethora of said discussions, articles, yt vids that covered it at the time.

But I find 7 months to be rather questionable that such was done, that'd require 7 months of 24/7 around the clock watching and care taking to keep someone constantly unconscious etc. That's be rather labor intensive of course. Then again if it was on a conquest server, well, as I said, controversies cited about them was rather eyebrow raising to be sure.
