Not getting max greenhouse effect...
I made a new room with metal foundations and everything else is only greenhouse items. Using the sloped roof (and the triangles to close the gaps). Once I finished the room effectiveness I reached 285% as I closed the room (from 250%) but I cant make it go to 300%. The room dimensions are 4x2 blocks and only 1 high. Anyone experienced this?

p.s. I am trying with large crop plots

I'm starting to think it's volume enclosed by greenhouse building blocks more than anything else. I will do a small experiment later, but from what I've checked and read in this thread, that's where it seems to be heading.

please splutty if you figure out what and how let us know
I kinda figured it out in my previous post. One more ceiling and u got 300% not even above them, that would make me believe that 4x2 sloped roof doesn't have the sufficient number of greenhouse items to reach 300% effect.
Okay. I've done some experimenting, and the number of 'counting' components seem to be what matters. I think I can agree with igano80 on this.

Here's my greenhouse as it is originally, 4x2x1 with sloped roof:

This will give 285% greenhouse effect:

Now I removed one corner of the greenhouse like so:

Which puts me at 270%, which is a 15% decrease for technically removing one sloped ceiling tile.

Then I added in a 2 wall, 1 ceiling little blob:

And that puts me at 300% (which if our surmise is correct would actually have been 315% :)

I can at least this disproof slightly. I have two separate 'greenhouses'. One consist simply by one sloped roof and one ceiling, the other is a nice little nearly enclosed area with slopped roof and greenhouse walls.

They are both separated, but use the same base wall from my house on one side and each time I increase the size of the area for the larger one my rating goes up for that one ceiling area as well. So I guess, it goes up for not enclosed areas in the area as well, so I guess there is some sort of adding up the elements going on.

Guess you noticed this already anyway.

And another bit, since the previous 'fix' is ugly as hell, I decided to just extend my greenhouse to 5x2 instead. Due to a misplacement of a sloped roof I'm still missing a sloped roof in this picture, however this also still give me 300%, despite the roof missing!

I did :) And I think we can now agree that the number of greenhouse pieces seem to matter more than whether it's enclosed. The placement of the crop plots however still needs to be under a roof. To test, I placed a temporary small plot under the missing roof tile of my previous post, with this as result:

maybe it needs a lil bit of oxygen to go in and it becomes 300% try doin a sexy one and demolish the middle ceiling :D
wish some dev can comment and tell us whats going on tbh
I built mine in a cave on the Valhalla map. Got a nice 0.0% greenhouse effect... I thought I was going to trick the system... I didn't. Stupid sun...
I just got 1 greenhouse celing over each farm along house wall, as the ceiling is the only part that matters. and this gives me 300% effect just make sure its no more than 1 wall heigt above the crop plot and covering it atlest 50% or something
