[BUG] Dung Beetles not producing oil and fertilizer since patch 233

Untill patch 233 my Dung Beetles were producing oil and fertilizer like they are supposed to. Since patch they don't produce anything. I restarted ARK several times, I took everything from their inventories and filled them up again, I checked that wandering is enabled - nothing works. Anybody else experiencing this too?

So - I left the game for a couple days, came back and my dung beetles have 'N/A' for their genders (can't remember for the life of me if this was the case before), I cannot pick them up and they are not producing fertilizer.

Has anyone else seen this or should I just go tame some new ones?

You don't need to take poop out and take it on a walk, just disable wandering then enable it again. And why are you even posting? Thread is 6 months old and question was answered a long time ago.

No... for you, your fix works for you.. the list of things I have typed are 100% required each and ever time there is an issiue.. for ME.. it is the only way on my server they function agian..

ROFLMAO, I typed in "Ark Beetle fertiliser bug" and this chat was top of the list in google. If ppl responding or posting their ideas to it, seeing as it's an ongoing bug and ppl are still getting it, is going to bother you, just unsubscribe from the post or close it, seeing as you're the O.P. >.< BTW, it helped me, so.... \o/

If Wildcard happens to take notice that the bug is still in the game because this thread is bumped and decide to fix it, I doubt anyone would complain ;)

This is not really a bad bug, so I wouldn't want this one on their priority list! There's an easy fix for it so they can take their time and fix worse bugs first!

Can I just point out that this "fix" doesn't work for everybody. I just went thru 50 Dung Beetles, 12 tamed the right way, 6 ported from other servers (3 Abberant and 3 regular), and the rest admin spawned in. They will all only wander for a few seconds after taming until they walk onto a Large Crop Plot, then they stop and will not wander again. At All! Throwing them, redoing their inventory, disable/reenable wander, unclaim, attack then reclaim does nothing.

I feel I should point out, the 6 ported from a different server were NEVER on wander (as I didnt know that was needed at the time) and produced fert and oil in my old farm.

This was tested on both Official Servers and single player for rapid testing purposes.

Been trying to fix this for a week now, which sucks cause my farming cant really get off the ground so herbivore taming and veggie cake are basically un doable atm and narcotic production is HEAVILY dependant on mass harvesting with my Diplodocus...

Chaos, you are necroing a post from like 2016.

That aside, the beetles do work now. But there are some tips I have found to ensure they keep working:
1) Don't put food directly in them, put food in a trough (they eat rotten meat)
2) Only fill them to about 3/4 of their weight capacity with poo. Don't fill them all the way up
3) Must be allowed to wander, but, you can put them in wooden cages and they work fine
4) Don't use wyvern poo. Not sure why, but it doesn't work (this might be fixed now, but it use to be a problem)

#2 is a big one. Many people just fill their bugs up to capacity, but doing so means they don't wander, if they don't wander they don't produce fert.
