Hotkey for crafting items.

How do I craft an additional spear without opening my inventory and without the spear recipe on my hotbar while I also already have a spear on my hotbar. Say, for example, that I have 1 spear on my hotbar and I want to craft an additional spear or two quickly. I've seen Youtubers do this and I'm curious how. I already know that I can craft a spear once I run completely out by pressing the hotkey that has the recipe outline left over from the previous spears. I need to know how to craft them fast before I run out though. Anyone know how to do this?

Not anymore i swapped em! Left alt is the most awkward key for me to press.
